Mash Tun, Unitanks, BBT's HWT, CWT can have recipes for Ramp/Soak profiles for the process. Manual Step Control.
Operator must change set points.
History 
Has on screen Real Time profile of data trends. Allows you to see how your process variables are changing over time.  Once set point is changed, controller does not know what the last set point was.
Record
Saves an archive of your process on the Hard Drive so you have a complete record of what went on during your process. Does not know the past set point or process value.
 Information Easy to understand graphics display entire process on your monitor with set points, current conditions and the ability to see more detail on specific equipment. Process and set point only. No other information.
 C.I.P.
Can force solenoid valve Off or On position for C.I.P. cleaning operations.  Must change set points to change solenoid valve.
